Master fiddler, Celia Lawley offers free program: “Meet the Fiddle!”

CELIA LAWLEY, local San Diego master fiddler, will be offering a free program called “Meet the Fiddle“.

Program Includes music in bluegrass, old time, and Celtic styles.

Santa Ysabel, California (October 30th, 2008) – Throughout December at various local libraries and a health food store, Celia Lawley will be offering a program called “Meet the Fiddle”.

Celia Lawley, a graduate of USC music school in Los Angeles, will be demonstrating and teaching beginning through advanced fiddling techniques and will have instruments available in various sizes for students to try, compliments of Hammond Ashley Violins, Sorrento Valley.

“Meet The Fiddle” is open to all ages and sign-ups for use of instruments is on a first come, first serve basis as space is limited.

Celia has created a progressive improvisational fiddle method called The Performance Academy and offers group classes at Hammond Ashley Violins in Sorrento Valley on Thursday nights for adults and Saturday mornings for children. The Performance Academy, donates their
performance money to purchase instruments for children throughout the United States, and has raised $2,500 to date. Their next performance is at the Rancho Bernardo library on Saturday, December 6th, 2008 at 10:30 am.
